Joe is currently the State Legislative Chair for Iowa Association of Health Underwriters (IAHU) and is serving his third year as a voting member of the Iowa Legislative Health Care Commission.

He is an active Board Member of The TSJ Group and Chairman of the Board of St. Gabriel Communications. He is also a Charter Member of the University of Northern Iowa’s Entrepreneurial Advisory Resource Network (EARN) and a Foundation Board Member for both Mercy Hospital Medical Center and St. Augustine Parochial School.

Joe Teeling has been in the health insurance industry for 31 years, with responsibility of sales, management and running several businesses.  As the Chairman & CEO of the West Des Moines-based firm, Bearence Management Group, his focus is on the vision of his company, while assembling talent and selling. Prior to starting Bearence, Joe was Vice Chairman of a large, multi-national broker, where he was responsible for all national sales, operations and distribution of products and services.
